You had me at "check out the ramp." Great tip, even if you've launched there a few times. Ramps can get silted-in, logs drift in, in tidal areas low tide vs high tide can be very different, and ramps get damaged, etc.

I have a 2014 loaded down with a ton of gear. 2 people in the boat with the 60 hp and stock prop and will run 35-36 mph.

2015 1650 Fish hawk loaded down 2 people yamaha 5hp kicker has a stainless spitfire x7 4 blade prop. 5200 rpm gps speed 36 wot. Mec spec for rpm 4500 to 5500. The 2.1 L is a beast, and the 75, 90 and 115 all have the same bore and stroke. It's amazing that with the right prop, she will turn 6000 rpm.

i wonder if you could put weights on the front and it would make a difference

I bought that same Ram Mount for my 12" Garmin and the plate that attaches to the gimbal bracket was to small and the unit vibrated like hell. I changed over to the larger 11" plate and all is well now. I did the same with the 10" Garmin on the deck. The larger plate makes all the difference in the world, especially if you run rough water.

Hi. Thanks for the video. I have a garage kept 2006 PT175 that does not see freezing temperatures. The original livewell pump is a Mayfair 3850 with a yellow housing. Like your issue, I was filling the livewell and water started coming up in the floor drain I installed year's ago. The nipple broke off inside the hose. When installing a new pump, I bumped the hose on the bilge pump next to it. It snapped off the same way and I didn't hit it very hard. It is the same brand with a yellow housing (model 3250). My word of advice... If you have old yellow plastic pumps, replace the whole units. These old Mayfair units do not have replaceable hose nipples like the red ones in your boat. The plastic gets brittle...

Dang my minn kota 45 pound will move my 16ft bass boat faster then that on high. I don't know the weight of the boat but it has a 50hp hanging off the back and is full fiberglass boat with all my gear and the fuel in the tank. I would have thought you would have got a higher speed out of the jon boat with the 55 on it.

I have a 2014 Tracker with a Garmin TRANSDUCER and it splashes water up into the boat I switched it from the right side of the prop to the left side (downward rotation) At high speed it would splash gallons of water into the bilge and when I would stop the pump would run for 30 minutes to empty all that water Switching the transducer stopped the problem.

The first thing I did was go to an empty parking lot and practice backing that trailer into spots and then at the ramp I got in and out of the water for 10 mins

My boat like his, but one battery in back goes almost 4.5 in a light chop, think the batteries are making his boat plow

How is the wrap holding up under the waterline? My black tracker needs paint, but I may try to just gloss wrap it over painting, do you think it will hold up long term?

How are they to row? Where I want to fish, no motors. I've rowed a 16 foot wood dory, not far, and I would assume it is much easier than that, but compared to a 12 foot, anyone say?

That's a lot of hold up time at the ramp. You can disconnect the winch close to the water before it's even in with a long rope attached. It's not going anywhere. No reason to get in the boat and drive it clogging up the ramp.

I have an old 95 Astro Glass boat with a tired original Merc 75. Still runs great and converted to add oil to gas. 13 x 19 Black Max. Got 35mph and now with lithiums 37.

Do you think the 75 weighs the back down to much

What a pain the arse! Looks like someone tried to siphon gas out my truck...! Now it won't open! There's a blue hose stuck in it. I ripped the hinged cap off to put gas in. Now I just don't know...😢
